    Ingredients for Crust and Topping:

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 sticks unsalted butter

    Ingredients for Filling:

    • 1 1/2 cup caramels, cut in small chunks
    • 2 Tbsp. milk
    • 1 cup chocolate chips
    • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9×13 pan.
    2. Combine the flour ,oats, sugar, soda and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Transfer half of the mixture into a greased pan and press evenly to form the crust.
    3. Bake for 10 minutes. let it cool for 10 minutes.
    4. Make the filling by melting the caramels and milk over low heat or in the microwave, stirring to combine.
    5. Pour caramel onto crust and spread. Allow the cool until set, about 20 to 30 minutes.
    6. Sprinkle chocolate chips and toasted pecans over caramel layer and then top with the rest of the crumb mixture.
    7. Bake bars for 25 to 30 minutes until the crust is light brown and caramel is bubbling around the edges.
    8. Loosen edges and let cool. Cut into bars.
