    Ingredients

    • 4 medium sweet onions
    • 3/4 water
    • 1/4 balsamic vinegar
    • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons water

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. Peel onions. Place side by side in small casserole. Pour water and balsamic vinegar over and around onions; bake 2 hours. When softened, thicken remaining juices with arrowroot or cornstarch mixture. Serve onions with sauce. Serves 4.
