Wayne National Forest consents to lease federal coal
NELSONVILLE, Ohio — Recently, forest supervisor Anne Carey of the Wayne National Forest, issued a decision to consent to U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management leasing seven parcels (433 acres) of federally-owned coal. NOVELTY, Ohio — More than 5,000 acres of farmland and natural areas in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ashland and Ottawa counties have been permanently preserved by Western Reserve Land Conservancy, a milestone for an organization formed five years ago by a merger of eight land trusts.
