    Homemade Bacon Amish Breakfast Casserole in a Dish

    Quick Breakfast Bake

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb. ground sausage
    • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms
    • 6 eggs
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. pepper
    • 1/2 15 oz. package Frozen Hash Browns
    • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
    2. Crumble sausage into a skillet on the stove and brown. When almost cooked, add mushrooms and sauté until mixture is completely cooked. Remove from heat, drain.
    3. In a large bowl, mix eggs and milk together and whisk well. Add salt and pepper to this mixture and stir.
    4. To a 9-by-13-inch dish, add frozen hash browns, sausage and cheese; stir together in the dish. Pour the egg/milk mixture into the dish.
    5. Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes covered with foil. Remove the foil and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes more until the dish is bubbly and cheese is melted.
