    Pineapple Sauce for Ham

    Ingredients:

    • 1½ cups crushed pineapple undrained
    • ¾ cup water
    • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    • ½ cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. butter
    • 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar

    Directions:

    1. Drain the crushed pineapple in a colander set over a medium saucepan. Set pineapple aside.
    2. Add water to pineapple juice and whisk in cornstarch until dissolved and smooth. Add the brown sugar and crushed pineapple and set the saucepan over medium heat.
    3. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
    4. Remove saucepan from the heat and stir in butter and apple cider vinegar. Serve with ham.
