Peach Cobbler Bread

    Ingredients:

    • 1/3 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/3 cup water
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
    • 1 cup diced peeled peaches
    • 1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
    • Topping:
    • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    Directions:
    1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar.
    2. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    3. Beat in water and extracts.
    4. Stir in peaches.
    5. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
    6. Stir in pecans.
    7. Pour into a greased 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan.
    8. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter.
    9. Bake at 350° for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
    10. Cool or 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
