    Ginger Snap Cookies

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup softened butter
    • 1/4 cup molasses
    • 1 egg
    • 1 Tbsp. applesauce
    • 2 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. cloves
    • 1/2 tsp. ginger
    • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 350˚F.
    2. Mix together sugar, butter, molasses, egg and applesauce. 
    3. Mix remaining ingredients In a separate bowl.
    4. Combine with wet ingredients mix until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    5. Shape into 1″ balls and roll in white sugar.
    6. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Cookies will puff then flatten.
