Country Meatloaf

    Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup catsup
    • 2 tsp. brown sugar
    • 1 tsp. dry mustard
    • 1 (1 lb.) roll of sausage (Bob Evans original or Jimmy Dean)
    • 1 lb. lean ground beef
    • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. pepper

    Directions:

       

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a small bowl, combine catsup, sugar and mustard.  Set aside.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and 1/3 cup of the catsup sauce.  Mix well.
    4. In a large shallow baking dish, shape into loaf.  Bake for an hour; remove from oven.
    5. Pour remaining sauce over loaf and bake for 10 minutes longer.
