Black Bean Hummus

    Ingredients:

    • 1 (15.5-oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained

    • 1/2 tsp cumin

    • 1 Tbsp tahini

    • 1/8 tsp pepper

    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

    • 1 Tbsp olive oil

    • 2 Tbsp water

    Directions:

    1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add more water if consistency is too thick.
    2. Dietitian Tip: Serve this “hummus” with cucumber slices, carrot sticks, jicama slices or whole-wheat crackers for a fiber-rich snack or appetizer.
