Bacon Wrapped Burgers

    Ingredients:

    • 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1/2 small green pepper, chopped
    • 1/4 cup lemon juice
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
    • 6-7 bacon slices, cut in half

    Directions:

    1. Mix all ingredients except bacon. Shape mixture into 6-7 patties, each about 1/4 inch thick.
    2. Criss-cross 2 bacon halves on each patty, tucking ends under. Place patties on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
    3. Cook uncovered in a 350° oven for 50 minutes. 6-7 servings.
