    Sausage and Gravy
    Inspired by: Don Clark of Mechanicstown, OH

    Ingredients:

    • 1 can refrigerated jumbo buttermilk biscuits
    • 1 pkg. pork sausage
    • 2 Tbsp. butter
    • ¼ cup flour
    • 2½ cups milk
    • 2 tsp. crushed rosemary
    • To taste salt and black pepper

    Directions:

    1. Gather all ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 F.
    2. Arrange biscuits 1 to 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 13 to 15 minutes.
    3. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently, about 5 to 6 minutes.
    4. Add butter to pan. Stir in flour until well combined. Gradually add milk, stirring continuously, until the gravy thickens and comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer and stir for 2 more minutes.
    5. Season to taste with rosemary, salt and pepper.
    6. Split biscuits in half and top with gravy.
