    Bacon and Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts

    Ingredients:

    • 6 bacon strips, chopped
    • 1 lb. fresh Brussel sprouts, trimmed
    • 1/2 cup chicken broth
    • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
    • 1/4 cup maple syrup
    • 1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper

    Directions:

    1. In a small skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels with a slotted spoon; drain.
    2. Meanwhile, cut each Brussels sprout in half.
    3. In the same bacon pan, sauté sprouts until lightly crisped, 6 to 8 minutes.
    4. Stir in the broth, pecans, maple syrup, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
    5. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Uncover, cook and stir until Brussels sprouts are tender, 8 to 10 minutes longer.
    6. Sprinkle with bacon.
