    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup chopped green pepper
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 cup sliced celery
    • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
    • salt or pepper, to taste
    • 16-oz. can diced tomatoes
    • 16 oz. can tomato sauce
    • 15 oz. kidney beans, drained

    Directions:

    1. Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in 3 qt. saucepan until ground beef is browned; drain off fat if necessary.
    2. Add green peppers, celery, chili powder, diced tomatoes & sauce, and salt and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    3. Add kidney beans, heat to boiling; reduce heat to simmer, uncovered 15 minutes or until hot.
