Light Oat Bread for the Bread Machine

    Ingredients:

    • 1 1/4 cups water
    • 2 Tablespoons margarine
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 3 cups all purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup oatmeal (dry)
    • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp. Yeast

    Directions:

    1. Ad ingredients to bread machine pan in order recommended by your manufacturer. Use regular light setting. I prefer to use only the dough cycle.
    2. Remove after dough cycle and place in a greased or sprayed 9 x 5 inch bread pan. Let rise until dough reaches slightly over the edge of pan.
    3. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes or till slightly browned.
